2018 In Review

JANUARY

Started my last semester of the RN program and started my preceptorship in the ICU.

Opened up my etsy shop - Petunia Felt Co, and had a lot of fun crafting and creating new things.

FEBRUARY

Nate quit his long haul trucking job!

Grandpa Greene's birthday party.

Baked a lot of treats.

MARCH

Went to my cousin's wedding at the Salt Lake Temple, and its was freeeezing.

Went on lots of adventures with little Mel.

APRIL

Went to Lagoon with the Hartshorn family and rode Cannibal three times.

Continued making donuts and other creations for Petunia Felt Co.

GRADUATED NURSING SCHOOL!

Went on walks with the Mel and Nate.

Chopped off my hair.

MAY

Baking obsession continues.

Ogden hikes.

Celebrated Cassady's birthday at City Creek.

Watched Boone play baseball.

JUNE

Went to New Orleans to visit the Shelbster.

Disneyland!!!!!

Said goodbye to our cute little Ogden apartment and moved south to my parent's house.

JULY

New job at the hospital.

Shelby's baby shower.

Idaho adventures.

Annual summertime rodeo with our pals.

AUGUST

Watched Boone's football games.

Saturday at Silver Lake Flats with the doggos.

Explored Thanksgiving Point Gardens in a golf cart.

Started the BSN program and closed up Petunia Felt Co for a while.

SEPTEMBER

Melon gets fixed and wouldn't wear his cone of shame so he had to wear onesies.

OCTOBER

Disneyland with the girls and got my first Disneyland Annual Pass.

NOVEMBER

State Championship Football game.

Disneyland again, this time Christmas style.

Thanksgiving in Idaho.

DECEMBER

6th anniversary at Ruth's Chris!

Christmas at home!!! 

St. George vacation with the Hartshorn's.

New Year's Eve at work!

Overall 2018 was a pretty good year. It was jam packed with all sorts of changes and new things with some challenges mixed in as well. Here's to 2019 and hoping for lots of new, great memories to make!

Some Recent Stuff

Milo's hair is longer than mine. Oops.

State Championship high school football game! My littlest brother, Boone is American Fork's quarterback so we've been going to every game. AF hasn't won the State Championship in like 60 years so we were praying and hoping they'd beat Lone Peak (our arch rivals). But alas, it wasn't so. AF lost, but it was still fun to watch my little brother play. He was heartbroken when they didn't win, but now he'll go on to play college football so there will still be more games to watch.

It's crazy my littlest brother is a senior this year and will be going off to college this fall. I remember when it was me in those shoes. Now I'm just an old person.

I fulfilled a bucket list item of mine this past weekend when Nate and I went to see Jim Gaffigan live! He is my favorite comedian and had us laughing until there were tears in our eyes.

For Thanksgiving we went up to Idaho to spend it with Nate's family, and they have a lot more snow up there than we do, so naturally Nathan and I took advantage of that. Nate went ice fishing, and when he got home he and I built this masterpiece! You like? I was pretty freakin proud of it. Best snow sculpture I've ever made. Wish it would last forever.

In other news, Christmas is just around the corner folks! I did online shopping for the first time this year over the black friday weekend and got some serious deals. I don't know why I've never done that before, but I pretty much got all my shopping done, which is awesome.

I also finished up my first semester of my BSN program. Only one more to go and then I'll FINALLY be done with school (for a while). My life is perpetual college, I swear.

Christmastime at Disneyland

Ain't she a beaut, Clark? Sleeping Beauty Castle draped in thousands of tiny twinkling lights. Just magical.

My two favorite things in all the world are Disneyland and Christmas, so when you combine the two, well, it's pretty much the best thing ever for me, and when we went a couple weeks ago it was all decked out and ready for the holidays.

The best part was this:

It's a Small World Holiday! Pictures never do anything justice, but I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to see this ride lit up in colorful lights. They change the inside of the ride too to include Christmas songs and other holiday decor. So fun.

Had to show them Pixar Pier, ride the Incredicoaster, and eat my new favorite Disney treat.

I know it sounds extremely nerdy to say this, but I'm a Haunted Mansion traditionalist. While the Holiday version is cool, I still much prefer the regular mansion. In my mind it's the one downside to going to Disney during the holidays.
