The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's here, it's here! The most wonderful month of the whole year!

As usual I jumped the gun and set up my Christmas tree prior to Thanksgiving. Whoops.

I would set up a thousand Christmas trees if I could. I love this time of year and all that it entails.

And no Christmas would truly be Christmas without setting up my Grandma Abbott's Christmas Shelves! I have been sacrificing my thumbs to tack on each piece of tinsel and all the lights to that dang thing for many years now.

Her shelves are truly iconic. If they aren't set up before December 1st then neighbors will knock on her door and ask her what's going on. So as to not disappoint the neighborhood we had to make sure they got put up in a timely manner.

Also have to make sure her banister gets decorated. Not pictured are all the nativities, stockings and downstairs tree. It is an all day event, but I love it.

In other news we went up to Driggs for Thanksgiving, and seeing as how Jackson Hole is only on the other side of the mountain we decided to visit there as well. It was nice to spend some time with Nathan's family. We ate a lot of pie and played many rounds of scum.

Folks, meet Murphy. My sisters adorable puppy! He is so cute and I have been wanting a puppy really bad lately, but then I think of how I would have to take it out to the bathroom all the time, and then I don't want one so much.

More Christmas themed posts to come soon!

  1. Love your tree... so pretty! Gosh, why do puppies have to be the cutest things on earth?! I know that I can't care for one how I would want to at this stage in life, but every time I see a tiny squishy little puppy face I forget and want to take them home. One day hopefully!

  3. Puppies are SO MUCH WORK. Haha. Our dog is about a year old now and most days I feel like I'm going to lose my mind between him and my baby. I love your tree and wrapping paper!
