This is my parents in like...1990. (Notice my dad's, uh, mullet? or whatever hairdo you call that haha).
My dad is the best. When I was a little kid he used to sit and play Super Mario with us, and me and my little brother would watch him play Donkey Kong 64 for hours. He's a fence salesman. He has a beard, and is really tall and big. He's that kind of dad who gets out his shotgun when dates come over. In fact when I turned sixteen, one of my best friends asked me out on my very first date, when he arrived my dad sat him on the couch and drilled the poor kid. Good thing my mom came to the rescue and shoved us out the door before it got violent. He's slackened up quite a bit now though. He used to tell me I wasn't allowed to date until I got married. Fortunately that rule was never enforced. He likes to hunt, duck hunting is his favorite, and he loves sports, especially football. When he goes grocery shopping he always brings back eclairs and buys the good sugar cereal.
My mom is also the best. She's very patient, and very kind. She rarely ever gets angry or raises her voice, and never says no unless she has to. She is full of love and charity for others. Whenever she goes on a trip she leaves a little bag of treats for us with a note. She writes lots of notes for us telling us that she loves us and I've always appreciated that so much. If she knows we're sad she tries her best to cheer us up. She's a nurse and works at a hospital, and loves to run. She's run like six marathons or something crazy like that. She likes doing crafts and hates yard sales for some reason. She makes the best chocolate chip cookies in all the world. I know everybody thinks their moms make the best cookies, but my mom actually does.
I love my parents.

This is cute. :)
ReplyDeleteUhhh and the sugar cereal? Does this apply to all dads?? Because that is totally my dad too.
Haha thanks Anna! And yes I'm pretty sure it applies to most fathers. They are definitely the better grocery shoppers!
